What would you think if the next Zelda game announced featured a female protagonist?

Not sure. Part of the appeal of link is him and his sword, if they changed it ... well i dunno. They'd have to do it well, maybe play as Zelda/Shriek (or whatever the spelling is)

Well, there would still be the sword weilding and everything you come to love in a Zelda game. Just that in a twist of events, the chosen hero to defend Hyrule against Ganon is a female...

soooo....you're gonna switch Zelda to a man, because link likes Zelda. Ganandolf to a female because he captures Zelda who is suppose to be of the opposite gender...yeah, would never happen and wouldn't want it to happen because of how messed up the game would be. Not a Zelda fan myself, only played one of them, but I appreciate it as a whole. Don't make stupid suggestions ^^

Well, each Legend of Zelda features a new protagonist. So, it is not like it is a sudden gender change or anything.

I wouldn't mind playing a Zelda game as Zelda... but making Link into a female would ruin the game for me.
Majoras Mask only had Link in it, nothing else.....no master sword, no ganon, no zelda but it was still a Legend of Zelda game just because it had Link. They can't ruin him.
Playing the game as Zelda without her getting kidnapped or sealed up and going through an entire adventure with magic would be pretty cool tho. Would probably miss having a sword tho.

I think that it would be a great change because i mean honestly that would be a big twist in the game.
