Hi all, I've done a fair amount on AP this week, and depending on this weekend I should be able to launch a the 2nd Beta online. Currently there are a few issues I want to resolve before uploading, such as; - Ensuring the Profile Data on AP and the Forum update each other correctly (nothing worse than half a profile...) - Getting new anime to add with all the detail (unlike in beta I where the year was always '0') - Checking that users can update their status for a particular anime. For this beta, the Achievements will not be visible, I have some more work to do to them (including making a way so new achievements can be added easily to the site for people to earn). Also the review section won't be fully working, I do plan to have the skeleton of it up and working, but it depends on how well my weekend goes with regards to free time. The design of the Beta II is (at best) a half-done job, partly cause I haven't been online to annoy Erwin/Zuz to help 'pretty it up' and partly cause I keep changing things so often I'd end up breaking what he makes...  The site has been built so that applying new themes is very simple, all that's required is a new CSS/Stylesheet and the required images (If you've ever been to www.csszengarden.com you'll know what I mean) and additionally new features can be added or removed via a separate but similar system (but it won't be in use since I'm having enough work on one at the moment.. lol.) Below are some updated screen shots, please feedback any thoughts you have, it all gets taken into account to make the site better. Thanks, Skip. New User Section; Includes Newest members and avatars  New User Listing, uses paging for faster loading. 'Numeric' and 'All' both now work.  User Profile, updated to use new system. Currently doesn't yet show new contact info, but that's coming. New edit profile link to switch to edit your profile.  New Edit Profile section. Not laid out yet, includes new contact info section. New link to view your profile.

Wooh everything is coming into place forming our hard work and dream of a better place for those who share the love for Anime and Manga alike! * Couph and Saber of course * Skip is doing such a great job, I can't begin to explain. Everyoune should mass hug him! Now all we need is Zuz to make some awesome template and SH2 to make some awesome banners.

During my (rare) spare time I've been able to do some more work. The Beta II will now have the Review feature included within it. Also included is the ability to add anime (improved) and a new 'Editors' section. The Editors section will allow people (with the privilege) to edit details on an anime and make small changes to spelling/grammar. (kind of like a forum moderator but better ) Anyone that would like to be an 'editor' is welcome to PM me, and I'll ensure I set you up with the rights when the Beta II (and main site) is launched. [Please note that the Editor right is a privilege and misuse may result in your right being taken away for a temporary period or permanently, the main purpose of it is to ensure we don't get spam bots or adverts posted on our site and that information is as correct as possible.]

Any news on the shoutbox btw? Yup yup lol. As for the shout box, I've put that to one side for the moment to try and get the AP main site Beta II (and the real deal) up ASAP, but it's part of my planned work. All else fails there's always twitter lol

I've found a quick free shoutbox, it's highly limited (since it's a free one) but it can be a 'quick solution' until I get time to build one/find a proper one. As a test to see if it's blocked, here's the direct link to it. Please note I have 0 control over it, there are no swear filters, and there is no way to check who it is logged in, and the naming is up to the user. So please don't pretend to be someone else...
