Just been into Game on my lunch break, they have moved the store around and the PC section is now right at the bottom on the shop in the smallest section, 3 sections + 1 middle rack on the shop with the budget/bargin/old/junk stuff.

It used to 3 sections which were wider and 2 middle racks, before that it was 4 wide sections and 3 middle racks.

Prity much every retail shop I go into which sells games the PC section is getting smaller and smaller.

I guess everyone buys online now, I rarely buy from Retails shops anymore unless something is on sale or is exclusive and is same price as web.

This small retail presence does give the impression that PC gaming is on the decline.

Pretty much how it's been for most games besides console games. With the desire to make it possible for people to buy and receive games as quickly as possible the in-store purchase of games has dropped to the point where most stores are cutting their stock of games to the bare minimum. Course this trend also still works out in favor of the game companies as if you happen to lose/forget your information for the purchased game your kinda s.o.l. unless you feel like fighting to get your purchase of said game back. As you have no disk to just reinstall from a simple corruption/drive failure can cause you more trouble than it did in the past. There are a few systems I've seen that use DRM like systems to keep track of purchases and something like upgrading your computer causes a lot of problems unless you keep the same hard drive.

Oh well guess I'll have to continue to drive across town to buy my games or order from stores online and wait for delivery as I always love having an installation disk no matter how many times I misplace them...lol

eugh there is even less stuff now, the pc shelves have less stuff on them and they don't even have current releases, No Mass Effect 2(is on XB360 section but not PC one), no Startrek online, no Bioshock 2.

I kinda feel the same way. But in big cities that's no so obvious. The place where I buy from still has 3 big racks, full of PC games.

Rare games you should play: Septerra Core, Populus 3: The Begining, NOX, Majesty.

Went out to Fry's electronics who use to have a HUGE selection of games and now it's pitifully small. They use to have 4 30 ft isles of game and now it's down to 2 1/2 and barely stocked where the games were just piled in.
